The National Fire Authority is calling on people to call them as soon as a fire starts and not to wait until the fire is out of control.

The call comes after two reports of fires that destroyed a three bedroom home in Pompei, Field 40, Lautoka, leaving four people homeless, and the second in Bululeka street, Waiyavi, where a fire completely destroyed a three-flat lean-to home leaving five people homeless.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are currently underway, and they are urging people not to leave calling them too late as it will be too late for firefighters to help.
