The National Fire Authority has urged bystanders not to tamper or try to remove victims who are trapped inside the vehicles following an accident unless you are qualified to do so.

This comes following the fatal accident in Pilling Road Valelevu yesterday where members of the public rushed to the scene and tried to drag out the victims from their vehicle before the National Fire Authority could arrive.

Chief Fire Officer, Tupou Saubulinayau said this will put the lives of the victims in danger as it is not advisable to try and move an accident victim as this could further worsen their chances of survival.

He has advised people to wait for arrival of the Police, National Fire Authority's emergency services crew and the Ambulance service personnel to remove the victim involved in accident out of the vehicle.

A man died and two others are in hospital after the horrific accident yesterday.
