National Fire Authority and Police officers are investigating an early morning fire that destroyed a 10 bedroom house in Wailoaloa Nadi today.

According to National Fire Authority the alarm was raised around 1.15 this morning and by the time the fire crew arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire fighters were able to contain fire from spreading a detached kitchen and to other dwellings located within 3m of the house.

The fire is believed to have started from one of the rooms however the house was vacant at the time of the incident.

Estimated cost of damages to the house is said to be $80,000.
