The National Fire Authority has started it's investigation into the fire that partially damaged the Fiji Sugar Corporation's Ba Sugar Mill.
NFA said their investigators are trying to establish the cause of the blaze which damaged the boiler section of the mill.
According to NFA, the boiler section was located on the second floor of the building.
The incident happened after 11 yesterday morning and when fire fighters arrived at the scene thick black smoke was coming out from the boiler section.
Quick action by the fire crew confined the fire to the boiler area and prevented a major fire disaster at the mill.
