The National Fire Authority investigators are now at the RFMF Engineering Barracks on Cunningham Rd trying to find the cause of the fire that damaged one of the concrete structure buildings housing three flats this morning.

Chief Fire Office Tupou Saubuliniyau said the Authority is working in conjunction with Police and the military to find out what happened.

Saubuliniyau earlier said when they received the call this morning, three fire trucks were dispatched to the scene, two from Walu Bay and one from Valelevu.

He said from initial observation on arrival at the scene, the fire at the barracks would have started burning afew hours prior to the arrival of the fire brigade.

He adds the heat of the fire was so intense that it spread quickly to the attached bottom flats of the double story building however they managed to save the bottom flats.

No one sustained injuries.
