Investigations by the National Fire Authority into the fire which claimed the life of a 57-year-old retired FSC worker in Nadi a fortnight ago revealed that foul play was allegedly involved.
Acting Chief Fire Officer, Qionilau Mocetai has confirmed that investigators believe that it is an act of alleged arson and they have handed in their report to police for further investigations.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed receiving the report from the NFA saying that their officers have started interviewing people.
57 year old retired FSC field superintendent, Jagdish Singh died after he was trapped inside his burning three bedroom house.
His 55 year old wife suffered burns and is still admitted in hospital.
