It is estimated that 82 percent of people in Fiji die of Non Communicable Diseases.
These are the words of United States based General Practitioner Dr Animesh Sinha who devotes 9 months to Fiji and does NCD work in the underserved community.
Sinha said NCDs are a major problem in Fiji and they hope to change this adding that a team of doctors and nurses have been to some of the communities and have achieved good results.
Dr Sinha is working with Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprise and Development's PRISM Health initiative, a project piloted by FRIENDS.
