The National Council for Building a Better Fiji is truly autonomous of the interim government.
While, addressing the members of the Council, Interim Prime Minister, and Commodore Frank Bainimarama praised some of the members who have been proactive in publishing their views in support of the NCBBF.
He said the interim government in no way influencing decision of the Council.
He said this is the reason why he first obtained support of the Interim cabinet and the Military Council for the NCBBF to define the long term vision, and undertake the task of getting the country back to a revived economy, sustainable democracy and good governance.
Commodore Bainimarama also said that the interim government recognizes that there are substantial and difficult issues to be considered by them and solutions needs to be found.
He concluded by quoting the words of a 19th century preacher, William Morely Punshon.
