The National Council for Building a Better Fiji remains undeterred by the Methodist Church of Fiji and the National Federation Party's call to boycott the People's Charter process.
NCBBF Media Head, Filimoni Kau said while the church and party executives have taken the stand, it does not mean that the members will not participate in accepting or rejecting the draft charter.
Kau also said that while he respects the views of Roko Tui Dreketi, Ro Teimumu Kepa, Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu and Bau chief, Ratu Epenisa Cakobau for supporting the Methodist Church in the rejection of the draft charter, the NCBBF believes that individuals in the country should make their own decision without any pressure.
He said he was in Rewa yesterday and consultations have started in many parts of the country.
Meanwhile, NFP General Secretary, Pramod Rae said the Indo Fijian community will be relegated to third class citizens in their motherland because of the Labour Party's support to abolish the reserved Indian Communal seats and amend ALTA, so that agricultural leases are issued under the Native Land Trust Act and farmers to pay free market rental.
