Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has indicated that with delays in convening the Presidential forum and a general understanding the elections cannot be held in March next year, would allow further time for consultations on the draft People's Charter.
While opening the sixth meeting of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji (NVBBF), Co-Chair of the NCBBF Commodore Bainimarama stressed that the Council must now decide how much more time is needed to finish their consultations on the draft Peoples Charter.
Progress reports on the consultations on the draft Peoples Charter and the response from the public so far is currently being considered by the NCBBF and a new consultation timetable is expected to be released this afternoon.
The meeting is expected to end at around midday.
