The husband of a 19 year old former Fiji citizen, Nileshni Singh charged with murdering her two years ago was today sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by a court in Lynbrook Melbourne.
Amitesh Jagroop who was charged with murder was later charged with manslaughter. He married his school mate Nileshni Singh of 8 miles in 2005 whose body was found in a creek near her house in June 2006, a day after Nileshni's birthday.
Nileshni's sister, Sanjeshni Singh said they still do not know to date why her sister was murdered however she said the family is relived with the sentencing.
