A fourth suspect, who was on the run after allegedly killing Savusavu security officer, Mohammad Hassan managed to escape from police custody after he was captured in Nadonumai, Lami yesterday.

Assistant Spokesperson, Sergant Suliano Tevita said a team of strike back officers arrested the suspect who is in his 30's, however he managed to escape.

Tevita said their officers are now conducting a search for the man.

It is alleged that the man together with others allegedly killed Hassan while he was guarding a sawmill in Savusavu in May this year.

Meanwhile, the hunt continues for three men who allegedly sexually assaulted a 13yr old girl over the weekend.

Assistant Spokesperson, Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri said the girl was returning from a party on Saturday night at around 10 when three men came in a van and forcefully took her inside the van.

It is then alleged they took her to an isolated spot and sexually assaulted her.

The three then dropped the girl near her home after the incident.
