Murder Trial of Taxi Driver Continues
Toviriki told Judge Justice Nazhat Shameem how he met two other accused Sousou and Nute on 24th August last year and accompanied them in the deceased taxi to Veisari.
He also told the court that he told Sousou and Nute that he wanted to get off at Lami town but Sousou said that he wanted to pick something up after which they will drop him.
Toviriki also told the court that they stopped before Veisari bridge and alleged that his accomplices tied him up with a rope and took the deceased with them to the bridge where they are alleged to have punched Buksh.
He also told Justice Shameem that after that he does not know what happened but his accomplices returned later and told him to drive them to Cunningham and pointed a knife at him and told him not to do anything.
Toviriki abandoned the taxi at Ono Street in Samabula however he did not informed anyone about the incident. Case continues in High Court.
