Five men appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court this afternoon charged in relation to the alleged murder of 16 year old Zoya Bibi of Narere last month.
Anesh Ram, Kishwar Nand, Vikash Chand, Sat Diwan and Ilaitia Waqa all of Nasinu appeared before Magistrate Alofa Seruvatu but no plea was taken.
Magistrate Seruvatu adjourned the case until 2pm tomorrow to make her ruling on the bail application from the five's defence counsel Mehboob Raza. Police prosecutor Jese Wilson earlier objected to bail highlighting the seriousness of the charges against the five.
It is alleged that Bib was killed during a drinking party a few metres away from the river, where her partially decomposed body was found floating by some children playing nearby.
Meanwhile, Police say the hunt continues for two other suspects whose identities are known to Police.
