Suva High Court Judge Justice Nazhat Shameem has acquitted Niko Bolavagone who was charged with the murder of Ravin Prakash of Muaniweni 2 years ago.
While passing her judgment, Judge Shameem said that the assessors have given their unanimous opinion that the accused is not guilty of the murder of Ravin Prakash.
Judge Shameem said the assessors are members of the community and their opinions are not perverse and are possible on facts led in evidence by the Prosecution.
Thus Bolavagone walked a free man. It was alleged that Niko was hired to kill Prakash for 2 rolls of marijuana and $300 by Shiu Vilash.
