Munivai questions possible intervention
President Milika Munivai asked whether the government has ever intervened in the running of other sporting bodies, rugby in particular, with regards to the Waisale Serevi saga.
Munivai stressed that Netball Fiji has its own constitution and that this is not the first time that Walker has gone against conditions in her contract and has discussed matters with the media that the executives do not agree with, especially the financial status of the association.
Munivai added the netball executives are looking forward to meeting the Sports Ministry officials.
Youth and Sports Minister Filipe Bole earlier said he has instructed his Permanent Secretary to look into the matter.
Meanwhile, Walker is still in the dark as to why the so called "netball executives" made a decision to sack her after they gave their blessings before they left for the Tri-Series in South Africa.
Walker said she does not know why the decision was made after Netball Fiji president Milika Munivai led the contingent to Government House to present their "i-tatau".
