Current International Boxing Organization middleweight champion Anthony Mundine’s camp is not aware of any promotion that they will fight in Fiji this year.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Sydney, Tony Mundine, Anthony’s father said that they do not know at this stage of the possibility of fighting in Fiji because under IBO rules, his son can only fight boxers who are rated in the top 35 in the IBO middleweight rankings.
Mundine said they will be in Fiji in the next two weeks to have talks with those who are trying to get the IBO middleweight champion to fight in Fiji.
Fiji's top boxer Joy Ali, after beating Joe Naleca, said he was ready to fight Mundine in Fiji.
