As the interim government announced large tax incentives for people to start investing in the Northern division, work on two multimillion dollar tourism projects have already started in the North.

The interim Lands Minister Netani Sukanaivalu who toured the two project sites last week confirmed the projects could have started much earlier if all government ministries concerned would have taken a more proactive role in dealing with the investors.

Sukanaivalu said the two projects are one of its kind and work should be completed in two years time.
