The Muanivatu settlers have been given more time to vacate the areas they are now occupying and find a new place to live.
This has been confirmed by Suva City Council Public Relations Officer Gillian Hicks who said this was one of the issues the Council has decided on at a meeting this week.
It has been confirmed that failing the movement of these settlers, a court order will be obtained to evict the settlers.
More than 76 families have already been given eviction notices however these families and the rest at Muanivatu asked the SCC for an extension for them to find a place to live.
