The closure of two major roads in downtown Suva, which has been done to cater for the events organised in the capital is causing major traffic problems for motorists.
Several motorists Fijivillage News spoke to today expressed frustration at the closure of Town Hall Road and part of Stinson Parade as the bus routes have also been diverted, and motorists are forced to use alternative routes to get around in Downtown Suva.
However, Police Director Traffic Mahesh Mishra said people must bear with them as the events organised in Suva are of national interest.
Mishra said they are doing all they can to ensure a smooth flow of traffic in and out of Suva with Police officers stationed at all major junctions.
