Motorists using the Princess road to travel to and from Nausori are being advised to use the Kings road, as the road near the Sawani junction is under water which is only open to trucks and buses.
Meanwhile, the Naqali bridge is under more than half a meter of water and it is closed to all traffic, as well as the Sawani-Serea road which is also closed.
Vunibau village road near Navua town is closed to light vehicles only, however buses and heavy goods vehicles can still cross this road.
However, the Kings and Queens roads are still open to traffic.
Nadi Weather Office Director Rajendra Prasad has confirmed that more occasional heavy rainfall is expected in the next few days around the country, which may cause flash flooding of low lying areas.
He said this kind of weather is expected till next Tuesday.
People living in low lying areas have been warned to be alert and take precautions.
Meanwhile, flash flooding has forced a family of Verata, Nausori to shift their loved ones wedding to a community hall.
A relative Jiten Singh told Fijivillage that Mr and Mrs Sand Hurst had made preparations for their daughter's wedding to be held at their Verata residence however this morning flood waters entered their compound and they had to make arrangements to shift the wedding to a nearby village hall.
