Mother’s dream fulfilled
His mum Lavenia Rokodiva, who spent most of her time with her two sons Tom Mawi and Peni said she always had a dream to see her sons in the Fiji jersey.
Lavenia said she nurtured the boys' passion for rugby by taking them to Kaji Rugby Tournaments and even encouraged them to accompany their father who is a rugby co-commentator for our sister station, Viti FM.
Peni Rokodiva Junior is part of the Fiji Digicel Team that today left for Dubai to defend the Melrose Cup while his brother Tom Mawi is based in France playing rugby as well.
Rokodiva Junior first held a rugby ball while on the field during his time as a primary school student in Naboro Primary where he represented Suva in the Kaji Rugby and then the Lelean Under 19 team to the Fiji Secondary Schools Deans Competition.
