"My daughter wanted a mobile phone so she could listen to Celine Dion songs.”

Those were the words of Varea Susau mother of Ruth Susau who lost her battle against cancer on Wednesday.

The 14-year-old girl’s dying wish for a mobile phone was delivered in an hour’s time by the Walk On Walk Strong team who help raise money for children living with cancer.

Varea Susau said she does not know how to thank the Walk On Walk Strong team for fulfilling her daughters dying wish.

Susau said the team put a smile on her daughter’s face and that she would do anything for the team.

She added that parents whose children are diagnosed with cancer should always stand by them.

Ruth Susau was laid to rest on Friday.

Meanwhile, Communications Fiji Limited which is the parent company for Legend FM, FM96, Navtarang, Radio Sargam and Viti FM has joined the worthy cause in helping the Walk on Walk strong campaign raise money for children living with cancer.

A nationwide appeal will also be held on the 4th of next month.
