A mother of Narere is struggling to make ends meet as she prepares to celebrate Diwali with her daughter this Friday.
45 year old Chandra Wati of River road Narere, told Fijivillage that she has been a dependant on the Social Welfare assistance for ten years after she separated from her husband.
Wati said she used to be a garment factory worker and few weeks ago was made was made redundant.
According to Wati she works as a house girl to feed her daughter who is in class five.
Wati said with Diwali being celebrated this Friday she is grateful to receive $30 Food Voucher to be able to purchase food items for Diwali.
