A mother of two, who cannot control her drinking habits, was sentenced to six months imprisonment this morning by the Suva Magistrates court.

The court was told that 35 year old Wanise Bosekobau of Navua on 16th August was drunk and disorderly in Navua town and was swearing at the morning shoppers passing by.

Police officers approached her several times and advised her to go home, but she refused and continued to swear.

Bosekobau pleaded guilty to the offence and Magistrate Ana Rokomokoti noted that she has 15 previous convictions for being drunk and disorderly and was last bound over on the same charge in January this year and sentenced her to six months behind bars.
