Most of the past winners of the 36 year old Fiji Bitter Marist 7's will be part of this year's tournament next weekend.

History on paper favor the host, Marist as it's the only club to record a three year in a row winning streak since its inception from 1976 to 1979 and the other champion clubs like Nabua, Army, Police, Wardens, Navy, Warwick, Red Rock, Fiji Warriors and Nawaka have won the tournament twice or just once.

With 64 teams now confirmed for the two day tournament, other top sides like, Samurai Baracudas, Hydro, Uprising, Ratu Filise and Hideaway Hurricanes will try to stamp their mark this year.

Last year, Army Green beat Ratu Filise in the final.

The Fiji Bitter Marist 7's will be held at the TFL Stadium next Friday and Saturday.
