Most businesses in Fiji are closed throughout the country.
Fiji Retailers Association President Himmat Lodhia said shops in Labasa and Savusavu are fully operational while most of the shops in the Central District are still closed.
Lodhia also said there were no extensive damages to business houses and shops
Lautoka Chamber of Commerce President Pyara Singh said the business communities have been without power supply since yesterday and businesses are incurring losses.
A prominent businessman and the Managing Director of Southern Forest Navua, Anil Sharma said most of the businesses have been affected and the business community is calling for assistance.
