The Great Council of Chiefs Review team will meet with the members of the Rewa and Tailevu Provincial Council next week to convey to them the new criteria set out by the interim government for the new look GCC.

Speaking to Fijivillage, Chairman Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo said that after meeting the provinces of Naitasiri and Serua, it is clear that most of the Chiefs now understand the importance for the GCC to meet as soon as possible.

Nawalowalo is hoping that the two provinces of Rewa and Tailevu will also look positively at their role in trying to ensure that the criteria for the GCC membership are fully understood.

The GCC Review team will meet with the Rewa Provincial Council on Thursday before meeting the Tailevu Provincial Council on Friday.
