The Health Ministry is expected to start a mosquito spraying campaign to fight the Dengue fever outbreak.
Director Curative Health Services, Dr. Ami Chandra confirmed people should also take responsibility to destroy mosquito breeding places in their compound.
The Health Ministry has warned members of the public to take precautions as nine people mostly from the Central division have been affected by dengue fever so far.
Dr. Chand said dengue fever is only spread after one has a mosquito bite and symptoms are headaches, vomiting, high fever and body aches.
