Air Terminal Services has confirmed that more workers that walked out of their jobs last week want to return to work.

ATS Acting CEO Hare Mani says finding a common ground with the workers and the union is something that they have been wanting to do during the mediation process.

Mani says the mediation process between the Air Terminal Services and its locked-out workers will take place on Wednesday.

Speaking to Fijivillage Mani says the meeting with the Minister for Employment Jone Usamate yesterday showed that these workers want to return as much as ATS wants them back.

Meanwhile, 15 Air Terminal Services workers returned to work in the last three days after they walked off their jobs on the 16th of this month.

A statement by ATS states that overwhelming interest is being shown in the ATS temporary vacancies that were advertised.

ATS says that hand-delivered applications have arrived at ATS even though walk-in interviews are not scheduled until Friday 29th December.

In its statement, ATS says that they continue to urge workers to take advantage of the ATS Board Chairman’s offer and to return to work.

ATS Employees Trust Secretary Vili Finau had earlier stated that they are still having talks with other stakeholders as their stand remains the same that workers should return to work without any condition.
