As the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama continues his tour of the Lomaiviti group, more villages are seeking a traditional apology for not accepting the Peoples charter for Change.
Our reporter Selina Navuso, who is on tour with the Prime Minister said this time it was the Vanua of Nairai who have sought forgiveness for initially rejecting the charter.
Meanwhile, one of the major concerns raised by the villager in Nairai is the illegal fishing activities within their traditional fishing grounds.
The villagers have requested Commodore Bainimarama for some assistance to keep illegal fishermen out of their waters as they do not have the resources to patrol the area.
They have also requested that fishing wardens be appointed on the island.
The Commissioner Eastern Colonel Ifiremi Vasu has asked the villagers to inform the navy or his office when the notice illegal fishing activities in the area and they would track down the vessel and bring those involved to justice.
