The Fiji Employers Federation has made it clear to the unions who are questioning the deferment of the Employment Relations bill that it needs more time to study the changes made in the new draft.
President, Dixon Seeto said every stage of the discussion on the bill sees changes and a proper study and consultations should be carried out before the bill is enacted as a law.
Fiji Teachers Union General Secretary, Agni Deo Singh had raised concerns yesterday over the Interim Government's stand to defer the implementation of the Employment Relations Bill.
Singh said consultation on the bill is continuing for the past nine years and it is time to make the bill a legislation.
