Teachers in the Maritime Provinces have been given the end of this month to complete their registration with the Fiji Teachers Registration Board (FTRB).

The Education Minister Filipe Bole said that teachers in the other districts have been allowed to get registered by the 15th of this month.

He said that classes should not be disrupted since this is the third term which is very important to all students mainly those in secondary level.

Bole is calling on all the head teachers and principals to verify the registration of their teachers with either the Fiji Teachers Registration Board or with the District Education Offices if they need clarification.

He said that schools that allow non-registered teachers to enter their classrooms could be liable for prosecution under the FTRB Promulgation.
