More than fifty people were deported from Fiji last year who were declared by the Immigration Department as illegal immigrants.
Director Immigration Nemani Vuniwaqa revealed that 56 people from different countries were deported and that most of these people were from China.
Vuniwaqa also said that while these people entered Fiji legally, there were various reasons for their deportation.
Meanwhile, four people were deported to India on Friday morning who were allegedly selling herbal medicine and massaging people without a licence in Nadi and breached their visitor’s visa.
