More than 400 drivers were booked for traffic related offences over the weekend.

Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra said despite warnings, drivers keep violating the traffic laws, and they have a record of those drivers who have committed a traffic offence more than once.

He adds that these records will be handed to the Land Transport Authority, who will be taking action against those drivers who have been booked for more than once for traffic offences.

Meanwhile, 10 drivers were arrested for drunk and drive case, 16 for careless driving, 246 drivers were booked for speeding and 162 for other traffic related offences, including illegal operations.
