The Police Drug Unit has once again uprooted more than $200 million dollars worth of marijuana in the Navosa highlands in the last two weeks.

Police Spokesman, Atunaisa Sokomuri said more than 26 farms between Natukalevu and Yauyau were raided by police with the assistance of military personnel.

He said some farmers were arrested after roadblocks were set up in some areas at night.

Sokomuri said they were questioned and released as Police await the results from Koronivia Research Stations on the plants.

It is the second major raid in the interior of Navosa this year after police want to curb the transportation of drugs to other parts of the country.
