The Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority has established that more than one thousand people were not paying taxes in the Southern Division.
Chief Executive Officer, Jitoko Tikolevu said a team of officers from FIRCA are visiting households in the Central Division and are trying to establish all those who are operating businesses or renting their house, but are not paying taxes.
Tikolevu added that after the Central Division, FIRCA officers will move to other divisions to conduct their assessment.
