More people are now on reduced working hours while several others have been laid off as garment manufacturers continue to battle with the impacts of the global financial crisis on their business.

Mark One Apparel is one such local garment manufacturer.

Managing Director Mark Hallabe said they have had to lay off some staff and reduce the working hours for those who remain.

He said further measure may have to be implemented if the situation does not improve.
