Nadi Weather Office Director Rajendra Prasad said a trough of low pressure is lying over northern parts of the country which is expected to bring in heavier rainfall later today.
He said this may cause flash flooding in Navua, Suva and Nausori, eastern parts of Viti Levu, Labasa, Savusavu and the Lomaiviti group.
Similar weather is expected in the Western Division from early next week.
People living in low lying areas are urged to take precautions.
