The Nadi Weather office still expects more localised flash flooding in low lying areas however the situation is not expected to be as worse as yesterday.

Director, Rajendra Prasad said a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain lies over Fiji and is gradually moving eastwards.

According to the weather office, the public should expect more rain, which may be heavy at times and a few squally thunderstorms over the Eastern parts of Viti Levu, Lomaiviti and Lau group later today.

Prasad has also advised that people living in low lying areas should take the necessary precautions.

Meanwhile, the Kings Road is now open to all traffic.

Police confirm that the Road is open however, the Wailotua Bridge is partially closed due to a landslide.

Police reveal that attempts are being made right now to clear the landslide.

At the moment, the Education Ministry is still trying to find out the number of schools affected as a result of the overnight flash flooding.
