The Commissioner of Police has confirmed that more police officers were allegedly involved in this case relating to the death of Vilikesa Soko in police custody.

Ben Groenewald said four police officers have been suspended however he has forwarded their file to the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions for their decision.

DPP Christopher Pryde said he is yet to see the files of other police officers implicated in this case however he is still reviewing the initial files.

Soko was allegedly involved in the robbery at City Forex Foreign Exchange in Nadi in August last year.

He was arrested by police in Sigatoka a few hours after the robbery and police had confirmed that two suspects including Soko sustained injuries during the arrest and were admitted at the hospital.

Soko passed away at the hospital four days after his arrest.

Meanwhile, Pryde confirmed that his office is also reviewing the file in relation to the brutality video posted online in 2013 which showed some recaptured prisoners allegedly getting beaten up by some Fijian security personnel.
