More free-to-air television licenses are expected to be issued before the end of this month.
Permanent Secretary for Communications, Amena Yauvoli confirms that they are looking through some applications and cabinet is expected to make some decisions next week. He could not confirm how many licenses will be issued.
Meanwhile, Yauvoli said the documents in relation to the licenses approved by cabinet will be given to the new operators next week.
Two companies, Mai TV Limited and Channel Two Limited have confirmed receiving their licenses to operate in Fiji's, now open, television market.
Free-to-air television channels are expected to hit Fiji within the next few months.
