Interim Minister for Commerce, Industry, Investment and Communications Taito Waradi has informed the Interim cabinet that more companies could be issued free to air television broadcast licenses in the future.

This is after cabinet yesterday approved free to air television broadcast licenses for three more companies.

These include MAI TV Fiji Limited, Pacific Broadcasting Services Limited and Talei Vision.

This has brought the total free to air television broadcast licenses issued to four. Channel 2 Fiji Limited has already been issued a license.

Waradi explained that the issuance of the licenses was in line with the Interim Government's policy to facilitate competition in the Fiji Television industry.
