Three people have lost their lives on our roads in the last four days and concerns are now being raised on the attitude of some drivers who have no respect to the Police officers who are stationed on our roads.

Early this morning, a Police vehicle gave chase to a taxi after the driver failed to stop when the Police officers tried to.

The Police vehicle chased the taxi and officers later found the taxi tumbled off the road.

As a result of the chase passenger died while another passenger is admitted in hospital.

The driver fled the scene.

It has been confirmed that the driver and two passengers were drunk.

Meanwhile, in another incident this week, a man died in Nadarivatu on Tuesday after the truck he was driving went off the road and tumbled, while in a separate case a pedestrian died in Wainibuka after he was hit by a 10 wheeler truck near Nayavu.

The road death toll stands at 21 compared to 28 for the same period last year.
