Fiji will face the same drought it is facing in the next 3 to 5 years.
The Manager Climate Special Services at the Nadi Weather Office Dr Sushil Sharma said that it is only natural for such weather patterns to affect the country due to the El-Nino Phenomena.
Dr Sharma said that the drought is not because of climate change or global warming.
Meanwhile, a number of task forces have been set up to provide the Prime Minister=s Office with twice daily situation reports before Commodore Bainimarama is expected to make a decision on whether to declare a drought for Fiji.
