The Skipper Cup is expected to be much more competitive compared to the previous years as there will be added cash bonuses for the 12 participating unions.

Primary sponsor, CJ Patel has today revealed a total prize pool of $110,350 which is an increase of $30,000 from last year.

The winner of this year’s Skipper Cup will walk away with $30,000, the runners up will receive $15,000 while the team that leads the points table after the last round of pool matches will also receive $15,000.

Meanwhile, the under 20 winner will get $10,000 and the runner up will receive $5,000.

Fiji Rugby Union Acting CEO, Dr. Berlin Kafoa said the new partnership with CJ Patel acknowledges the hard work of the players, team officials and fans who will watch the game.


The Skipper Cup kicks off this Friday with Tailevu taking on Lautoka at Ratu Cakobau Park.
