More blood is needed at the CWM Hospital as there are a number of heart surgeries underway.
Those were the words of the Health Media Liaison Officer Iliesa Tora who said they have a lot of blood in the blood bank now however they need more.
More than 50 patients will undergo open heart surgery over the next two weeks by the Open Heart Surgery team in the country from the Sydney Adventist Hospital.
The free surgery started yesterday.
Tora said all together 51 patients in total with 28 adults and 23 children will undergo surgery.
These patients have been selected from the Eastern, Northern, Central and Western divisions.
