More arrests are expected to be made in relation to the alleged drug racket in Fiji after police arrested five men who were found with white powder which is believed to be used in the manufacture of hard drugs.

Assistant Police Spokesperson Sergeant Suliano Tevita said the 5 who were taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon were interviewed, questioned and released yesterday.

However, Sergeant Tevita said these 5 may be taken in for questioning again if there is a need.

The5 were arrested at the premises of a shipping company yard in Edinburgh Drive when they went to collect the white powder namely Contact-NT which is used to manufacture hard drugs are allegedly involved in a major drug racket.
