Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime, Nasir Ali has confirmed that they are trying to establish whether the suspect is linked to the alleged plot to kill Interim Prime Minister, some Cabinet Ministers and two senior military officials.
ACP Ali said that police investigations will prove whether the man is anyway linked to the alleged assassination plot.
ACP Ali confirms that some other people are also under investigations and they are expected to be brought in for questioning.
Meanwhile, Businessman, Ballu Khan's legal adviser Tevita Fa will be seeking permission from Health Permanent Secretary Dr Lepani Waqatakirewa today for his client to be evacuated to New Zealand claiming his condition is deteriorating.
After visiting Khan at CWM yesterday, Fa claimed that Khan is still unable to eat and he is seriously concerned over his condition. He said Khan needs urgent medical attention abroad.
The Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni maintains that Khan is alleged to be a key player in the assassination plot and he will not be allowed to leave for medical treatment abroad.
