Following the announcement of increased air services between Suva and Labasa from next month, Managing Director and CEO of Air Pacific, the parent company of Pacific Sun, Dave Pflieger has also revealed that there are plans to provide more air services to Savusavu and Taveuni.
He said they have visited three airports earlier this year.
Pflieger said Pacific Sun's larger aircraft ATR42 can also service Savusavu once the airport runway is extended.
Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Acting Permanent Secretary, Sila Balawa said Airports Fiji Limited is currently focusing on upgrades at the Rotuma and Labasa airports.
He said upon completion they will focus on other airports and airstrips.
